It is a comical moment that sees a dog attempting to befriend a curious gopher as it comes out of its hole in the ground.
Footage filmed at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California, shows a two-year-old Golden Retriever named Fiona staring at a buried rodent as it shakes his head from under the ground and watches his new fan is.
The gopher then drowns in the burr before emerging once more and to see the gentle canine.

During the clip, which was shot on May 31, but only shared, the curious dog watches with Mohit as the gopher comes out of his hole, but tries not to pounce on him.
The rodent quickly goes underground before raising his head and staring fearlessly into the canine.
Fiona draws close and before the gopher re-emerges into the hole again and the two animals try to sniff her new friend, eyeing each other.
After sharing the clip online, the owner of Fiona told the viral hog: ‘Fiona is almost two years old and walks the streets and parks of San Francisco daily.
‘Her favorite activity, to this day, at Golden Gate Park back in May, was befriending the Goffers.
‘Finally, they share special moments that show that everyone can meet if they are just patient and kind.

‘It is often hard to get her leave and since she is such a big girl, we spend a lot of time walking outside the gopher hole. Many sweet women have come to call Fiona ‘hi’. ‘
