A ghost from the Tsushima art book has revealed more about the game’s upcoming ‘Legends’ co-op mode, which is scheduled to arrive during Fall 2020. Recently ‘The Art of Ghost of Tushima’ has been received, with many taking to YouTube and sharing additional details found within forum artbooks such as ResetEra.A new character named ‘Storyteller’ is set to appear, a masked traveler who is “all-seeing and knowing.” Landscape in Legends Mode is described as having a “more dream-like quality” than the main game, with “exaggerated features and a distinct color palette” inspired by ancient Japanese woodblock prints.
Some new enemy types and bosses also appear in TheSushiSquire’s video, including a creepy masked warrior who turns into mutilated limbs with an animal (who won’t look out of place in Sikaro: Shadow’s Die Diocese) – That boss is shown in several stages, meaning that we will do more of the longer fighting monsters than most of Tsushima’s brief combat. We see various classes of oni monsters, as well as tengu, which will likely be your more basic enemies.
The video also gives a glimpse at the game’s menus, which are usually minimalist and appear red. It seems that Legends will have new resources or currencies available, and new menu screens for crafting and fates tease new features coming to the game as part of the upcoming co-op mode.
According to the Google Books page for The Art of Ghosts of Tushima, Legends DLC has about 20 page concepts and descriptions.
Ghost of Tsushima: Online Co-Fall of Legends, will be free on the launch of the expansion in Fall 2020. You can read more about what to expect from the new mode here.
