Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick would have been arrested hours after the game for the SEC title.

UGASports.com reported on Sunday morning that Patrick, a youth linebacker, faces a minor charge after his arrest Saturday night. According to 11Live News, Patrick faces charges for possession of marijuana. He paid a "small fine" and was released from custody, the station reported.

Patrick had three tackles in the Bulldogs' big win over Auburn the previous Saturday.

It's the third arrest of Patrick, the team's average starting linebacker, in his career in Georgia. All have been for marijuana.

The minor was arrested in Barrow County on Saturday night for an unspecified minor charge, according to the Barrow County online prison report. Bond was set at $ 1,030.

The arrest took place at 11:50 p.m. but there are no other details available and Georgian officials have not yet made any comments. A spokesman for the Barrow County Detention Center declined to comment and said he would call again during Monday's business hours for more information.

Patrick was arrested for possession of marijuana in October and once in 2015. He was also investigated for alleged use of marijuana. in his bedroom last October and subsequently was acquitted.

The October arrest resulted in a suspension of four games as specified in the Georgia student athlete handbook.

In nine games (seven starts) this season, Patrick has 35 tackles and 2.5 tackles for the loss. Patrick played in a combined total of 21 games in 2015 and 2016, including 11 starts, and totaled 81 tackles.
