Former World Series MVP Pablo Sandoval on the Atlanta Braves’ roster


ATLANTA – Pablo Sandoval is on the Atlanta Braves’ roster for the National League wild-card series against the Cincinnati Reds.

The 2012 World Series MVP joined the Braves after being released a few weeks ago by the San Francisco Giants.

He started third base in the final game of the regular season, going 0-for-2 with two moves, losing 9–1 to the Boston Red Sox. Sandowal played 33 games for the Giants, .220 with a homer and six RBIs.

The Braves also brought infielder Charlie Culberson back to the big league roster and released left-handed pitcher Tommy Milone, who was acquired in the trade deadline, but posted a 14.90 ERA in three starts.
