Ford Bronco Delayed Again, Customers Will Receive Free $ 495 Sound-dampened Headliners

Deliveries of the Ford Bronco have already been delayed and are scheduled to begin this summer, but now it appears that, for some customers, the wait may be even longer. In an email sent to reservation holders on March 25, Ford announced that many anxious Bronco owners will end up receiving a 2022 model year due to production delays.

According to Automotive News, These delays have to do with supplier issues for some of the truck’s hard tops, specifically the “modular painted roof” or “flysheet” option. Mark Grueber, Bronco Marketing Manager, says vehicles equipped with standard “color molded” roofs – unpainted plastic – are still on the schedule and will be delivered in June.

To make up for this, Ford is doing a few things. First, if you want an unpainted color molded ceiling instead of the modular painted ceiling, you have until April 8 to update your original order. That would mean getting your Broco sooner. If you do this, or have already selected the color molded headliner, you will receive the optional soundproof headliner for free, a $ 495 option.

If you opt for a fabric or leather interior, you will automatically get this option. In this case, you will get $ 495 off the final price of your Bronco. However, if you chose vinyl interior, it is now a no-cost option.

The Blue Oval also offers extras for those who choose to hold and maintain their optional truck with the modular roof painted. According to Automotive news, Certain customers could receive up to $ 1,000 in “FordPass” reward points that can be used for anything from oil changes to accessories, and the Dearborn automaker assures customers that just because their trucks can be sold as models 2022, its price will not increase.

Ford claims to be spending millions to make sure deliveries are made on time, but it’s never good news when a brand’s flagship SUV lags behind delay. On the bright side, Ford says 66 percent of deposits have been turned into full orders, so hopefully when production is finally in full swing, Ford will have 125,000 blocked sales. If you want to be one of them ASAP, you better miss out on that elegant two-piece ceiling.
