Florida State is hiring Walt Bell to be its next offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, according to several reports on Tuesday.
Bell was the offensive coordinator of Maryland in 2016 and 2017. The Terrapins combined 10-15 in those seasons and ranked 121 on FBS in total offense in 2017.

New Head coach Willie Taggart is expected to handle the game duties for the Seminoles, reported Tallahassee Democrat.
Bell, 33, offensive coordinator and assistant head coach of the state of Arkansas before joining the Maryland staff. Prior to that, he trained tight ends in North Carolina since 2012-13. He was an open receiver in Middle Tennessee State from 2003-06.
Florida State finished 7-6 in 2017 after quarterback Deondre Francois suffered a knee injury in a loss to eventual Alabama national champion.
Coach Jimbo Fisher left after the regular season for the same job at Texas A & M, and Taggart was hired from Oregon in December to replace him.
