A Florida nurse was arrested this week after authorities said she allegedly threatened to kill Vice President Harris.
A criminal complaint filed against her claims that Niviane Petit Phelps made multiple threats against Harris that were allegedly sent through a computer application to the nurse’s husband, who is in prison, NBC 6 reported.
The messages came in the form of videos in which Phelps allegedly criticized Harris and claimed he was paid to kill the vice president.
“Kamala harrisKamala HarrisOddsmakers say Harris, not Biden, is more likely to win the nomination and the 2024 election. Passing the Clean School Bus Act can help protect the health of our children and our planet. You will die. Your days are already numbered. Someone paid me $ 53,000 just to screw you and I’ll take the, do the job, okay, “Phelps said, the complaint says.
“I’m going to the shooting range, just for your ass, until you leave the chair,” Phelps allegedly said in another clip.
SSpecial Agent David Ballenger was briefed on the threats in early March, and a Secret Service agent, CNN, was assigned to the case. reported.
Phelps is accused of threats against the vice president.
Heroeia Petit, Phelps’ mother, told the local media that she hopes the charges will be dropped because her daughter is “ill” and “does not even know what she is doing.”
“Don’t punish her … because you heard what people were saying to you,” Petit said. “She is desperate. She has nothing to do. Her husband has been in jail for 10 years, two children. The house, he lost everything.”
Jackson Health, where Phelps has worked since 2001, said she was suspended without pay until her layoff can be finalized.
A public defender for Phelps did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment.
