Flight scare: emergency in the bathroom at 30,000 feet

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) – A Delta flight from New York City to Seattle had to stop at Billings after the plane's toilets stopped working and passengers could not take it anymore.

Billings Gazette reports that the direct flight diverted hundreds of miles south on Saturday to stop the emergency bath.

Delta says that upon landing at Billings, the plane had to taxi to a cargo area because there was no door available. Delta says that ground crews rolled a ladder to the plane so passengers could "disembark to find relief from accumulated pressures."

A flight from New York City to Seattle can take around six hours.
