A report says that five people and an unborn child died in a mass shootout inside an Indianapolis home early Sunday.
The Indianapolis Star reported citing police that investigators believe the attack was carried out by several shooters at 4 am.
According to the newspaper, this morning, another person put an end to the act of evil in our city, ”Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said in a press conference on Sunday.
“What happened this morning was not a simple act of gun violence … What happened this morning was a mass murder,” the mayor said.
The report said that Randall Taylor, chief of the Indianapolis Metro Police Department, said the violence was Indianapolis’s “biggest mass casualty shooting” in a decade.
Police did not immediately reveal the possible motive for the killings.
