First 2020 Toyota Supra sells for $ 2.1 million at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – It is the first Toyota Supra in the United States in 21 years and demand is high, verified by the sale price of the car at the auction of Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale on Saturday.

The first Toyota Supra 2020 (VIN 20201) was sold for a winning bid of $ 2.1 million on Saturday, the auction company said on its Facebook page.

The offer helps Stand4Heroes benefit from the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the American Heart Association.

The new Toyota Supra comes with a 335-horsepower inline six-cylinder engine and an eight-speed transmission with shift levers. Toyota said the design was inspired by the latest Toyota Supra, the fourth generation of the car, sold in the United States between 1993 and 2002.

It can travel from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds and reaches a maximum of 155 miles per hour.

The Toyota Supra gained great popularity in 2001 when it appeared in the original film "The Fast and the Furious". The 1993 Supra Stunt Car used in the film was sold at auction for $ 185,000 in 2015.
