The developers of Firewatch, Campo Santo, revealed their new game called In The Valley Of Gods with a worldwide advance in the Game Awards 2017. The new game bears a striking resemblance to Firewatch in terms of art direction and seems to have Elements cooperatives of NPC.
It opens with an old film grain filter and takes the playable character to explore a grave with a companion companion. It seems to be a first-person adventure game that takes place in a twentieth-century Egypt, given the equipment the characters use. They climb the grave while they examine the ancient art that covers the walls and finally they are on top of the tomb. They take out a tripod, place a camera and take a black and white photo of the sunrise that is perfectly aligned with a statue.
In The Valley Of Gods will be released on an unspecified date in 2019, so we will have to wait a while to get our hands on the latest work of Campo Santo. You can see the full trailer in the video above.
