Final Fantasy 16 announced for PS5 and PC

During Wednesday’s PlayStation 5 Showcase Stream, Square Enix gave Final Fantasy fans a first glance at the next mainline entry in the role-playing game franchise: Final dream 16.

Featuring Final Fantasy elements that we know and love, such as the discussion of Chocobos, Shiva, Dragone, and “Mother Crystal”, the gameplay appeared focused on controlling a single character rather than a party among them.

Animals that Final Fantasy fans know as Summon, Primal, or Econ are also seen throughout the trailer, wreaking tons of havoc in a medieval-ish setting. We look like Shiva, Ifit, Phoenix and Titan.

Final Fantasy 16 A PlayStation console will be exclusive, with a PC release. While Square Enix did not announce a release date for the next-gen finale fantasy, it is years from the most recent entry. Final Fantasy 15 Was released in November 2016, so it makes sense that a tease for the next installment of the beloved JRPG franchise is finally rearing its head.

Earlier this year, Naoki Yoshida dismissed rumors she was directing Final Fantasy 16, Call speculation that he was the director of the game was “fake news”.
