Face ID broke on the iPhone X with the iOS 11.2 update? Here is how to fix it

[ad_1]

In terms of software updates, Apple had a rather difficult time last week, with iOS 11.1.2 making some users' iPhones link up when receiving local notifications with scheduled reminders. Fortunately, Apple solved that quickly with the 11.2 update later, but this, pushed out the door as fast as Apple could bake it, brought another portion of problems, apparently, this time with the latest and greatest iPhone X.

Some users of Apple's most expensive iPhone complained that Face ID stopped working on iOS 11.2. Their phones showed the strange message "You can not activate the identification of the face on this phone" when they face a looks contest. The reason for this particular drama is unknown, and it only happens to some units of iPhone X, so if it went through your unit, see with relief.

Otherwise, you will receive the previous message when you try to use Face ID, simply restart your X, which in most cases corrects this "error". Press and hold the side power key and any of the volume buttons, then slide the slider to the "off" position until the screen turns off. Wait a bit, then turn on the iPhone X with the side button, and you should have Face ID working properly again.
