"Since the first war in Sudan, several people have crossed into Uganda as refugees, "said the minister.
said hospitality provided by the Ugandan government has allowed the children of South Sudan to attend school and the rest have settled and have access to health services from the existing health facilities.
According to the minister, his country is trying to find lasting peace solutions so that its citizens can rebuild the country.
"We have ongoing meetings supported by IGAD [Intergovernmental Authority on Development] and Uganda to guarantee peace in South Sudan," explained N & # 39; apwon.
He also encouraged traders from Uganda to continue trading with South Sudan, saying that much is needed for Juba to establish itself economically.
"In the past, we've had ambushes by the rebels along the roads, but since then, those activities have stopped." The minister urged members of the international community to support the peace process in Africa's newest nation.
He praised the efforts of President Yoweri Museveni to unite rival leaders in South Sudan and other nations in the Great Lakes region.
