El Paso has 13 virus deaths, 255 new cases

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The El Paso Department of Public Health on Wednesday announced 13 coronovirus-related deaths and 255 new cases.

The death toll in El Paso County now stands at 252.

The 13 plagues make Wednesday the second deadliest virus day for El Paso. The previous record of 15 was set last week.

Health Department identifies the victims:

A woman in her 40s

A male in his 50s

A male in his 50s

2 men in their 60s

2 women in their 60s

A man in his 70s

A woman in her 70s

2 men in 80s

A woman in her 80s

A woman in her 90s

One of the male victims in his 50s was the only victim who did not have underlying medical conditions according to the Department of Health.

There are currently 3,275 known active cases. That is 96 less than the day before.

Since the pandemic began, 13,807 confirmed cases have occurred, with more than 10,000 recoveries.

After hospitalization, it again decreased from 282 to 266. The number of patients in the ICU of El Paso also decreased from 114 to 106. There are 53 patients on the ventilator, an all-time high.

In the last seven days, an average of 9.04% of tests conducted in El Paso have come out positive.
