Meanwhile, it was discovered that peanuts are useful to prevent strokes.

Dagfinn Aune, co-author of the study, said: "Nuts and peanuts are rich in fiber, magnesium and polyunsaturated fats, nutrients that are beneficial in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and that can reduce cholesterol levels. , especially pecan nuts and walnuts are also rich in antioxidants, which can combat oxidative stress and reduce cancer risk. "

Adding: "Although walnuts are quite high in fat, they are also rich in fiber and protein, and there is some evidence to suggest that walnuts could reduce the risk of obesity over time."

Researchers compiled data from 29 previously published studies to find the health benefits of nuts.

Include nuts such as almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, nuts and peanuts in your diet.

Up to 8,19,000 people were badyzed, comprising 12,000 cases of heart disease, 9,000 strokes, 18,000 cases of cardiovascular disease and cancer, and 85,000 deaths.

They found that only 20 g of walnuts, the equivalent of a handful, were enough to reduce the risk of dying from a series of fatal conditions.

But eating more than 20 g a day did not have more benefits than simply eating a handful.
