Duke remains at the top of the USA TODAY Sport basketball coaches, but it looks like the Blue Devils will have a lot of company in the coming weeks.

Duke was awarded 30 of the 32 first places this week. No. 2 Kansas also maintained its unblemished record and has a first-place vote. The last number 1 head movement was for Michigan State No. 3, which followed up on a big victory against Notre Dame with a strong start on its Big Ten list. The Spartans exchanged positions with the No. 4 Villanova. Florida climbed a step to complete the top five while the Fighting Irish slipped to No. 8.

It was still a good week for the Big East , however, as a couple of other contenders made big leaps. Xavier won six places to No. 14 after defeating Cincinnati in a blunt Crosstown Shootout contest, and Seton Hall climbed five places to n. 19 after a great victory as visitors in Louisville.

No. 20 TCU and No. 24 Nevada, both with 8-0 starts, debut in the Top 25. Purdue also returns to the standings at No. 21 .
