U.S. Stocks rose sharply on Monday as investors' confidence was boosted by the Senate by approving a large tax bill over the weekend.

Trump tweet

"Investors this week will see progress between the House of Representatives and the Senate bill," said Nicholas Colas, co-founder of DataTrek Research. "Both chambers have yet to reconcile the differences between their bills, how to implement corporate tax cuts immediately or in 2019."

Bank shares rose sharply, with the SPD S & P Bank (KBE) fund rising 2.3 percent. Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and JPMorgan rose at least 1 percent.

EE. UU Stock index futures had also risen steeply before Monday's opening. Dow futures briefly traded more than 250 points more.
