Douglas County’s positivity rate falls

(WOWT) – Here is a summary of new cases and other COVID-19 figures reported today by health officials in Nebraska and Iowa.

Douglas County Update

The Douglas County Health Department reported 67 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths occurred on Sunday.

The positivity rate fell to 7.4 percent for the previous week, a marked improvement from the 10.5 percent rate compared to the week ended August 15 when Omaha city council passed the city’s facade ordinance.

The total number of deaths in the county remains at 178.

The total number of cases is now 14,474.

The county confirmed 10,809 recoveries.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department on Sunday reported 53 new cases of COVID-19 in its area.

The total number of community cases is 5,155. The death toll remains 21.
