Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz said last month that his back "keeps coming" in response to questions about whether he had regained health and coach Doug Pederson offered another update on his condition on Friday.
Pederson said at a press conference that Wentz was on the field during training in the current phase of the offseason program, but said he would not become "too specific" about the workload of the quarterback at this time.
Pederson was willing to say that he was encouraged by the quarterback's behavior. I would not say whether Wentz will be ready for full participation once the team's organized activities begin on May 21. The 10 OTA and the mandatory mini-camp in June represent the final stage of work before the Eagles take a break before the training camp.
Consecutive end-of-season injuries to Wentz have not diminished the team's enthusiasm for signing him into a long-term contract, but there is still a lot of interest inside and outside the organization to see how he will get back on his way out of this problem.
