When the gameplay was first shown for Halo Infinity during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase last week, many fans expressed disappointment over the pictorial quality of the next-gen title – for the game’s lighting and its “flat” appearance. Special criticism. Halo Infiniti, however, seems to have disappointed more than its fans, as Domino’s Pizza has officially weighed the matter.
In a Twitter post, Official UK Domino’s Pizza Account Posted “Don’t worry the main, Domino’s always deletes #HaloInfinite,” a pigmented pepperoni Domino’s with the tongue and cheek of Pizza with the caption “Next gen?”
While this is certainly a joke to promote the Domino brand, it is interesting that the buzz surrounding Halo Infiniti and its graphics has expanded far beyond the typical audience of hardcore gaming fans.

Following the gameplay showcase, and in the wake of criticism, Aaron Greenberg, marketing general manager of Xbox Games, commented on the matter, saying, “We are in the midst of a global pandemic. It is July, we are far from vacation. You are watching a work in progress game. You probably watched the stream in 1080p, maybe, so we have a 4K60 on-demand stream. So people, I’d say, go back to watching the game in 4K60. We did this intentionally. It’s hard to show the full power and graphic fidelity of what the Xbox Series X will be able to do for you in one stream. “
Even though the game will look better at launch (and after the announced ray-tracing update), the current optics graphs on Halo Infinite are far from positive. It will be interesting to see how Xbox plans to change opinions between the game in 2020 and the release in Holiday 2020.
