BOSTON – Nine months late, the Dodgers won a series of the Red Sox.

A base-loaded walk by Max Muncy, whose 18-inning home run gave the Dodgers their only victory over Boston last October, sparked a 12-inning three-run run when the Dodgers beat the Red Sox, 7-4, at Sunday night rubber game of the World Series rematch at Fenway Park.

After the Muncy jump-off walk, the Dodgers added a single with bases from Alex Verdugo and a fielder chosen by Russell Martin. Two of the three races were not won.

The Dodgers received four RBIs from A.J. Pollock, three in a home run by Fenway Park in the first inning. All-Star starter Hyun-Jin Ryu provided seven solid innings after an unlucky two-run first, and Verdugo saved one race with a strike of 97.1 mph in the fifth field.

With a two-run lead in the eighth inning, the Dodgers' bullpen let out a Ryu victory when Pedro Báez took charge and allowed consecutive homers to the first two batters he faced, Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez
