The 2020 World Series turned into a best-of-five series. The Los Angeles Dodgers won Game 1 on Tuesday night (LA 8, TB 3) before the series with a win in the Game 2 (TB6, LA4) on Wednesday, with the Tampa Bay Rays. The series began on Friday night after Thursday’s holiday at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Now, let’s set the scene for Game 3 with something essential.

Game 3 brings us another premium pitching matchup. Morton, winner in Game 7 of the 2017 World Series at Dodger Stadium, gets the ball for Ray after his stunning outing in Game 7 of the ALCS. He hit six sixes and gave up just two hits in 5 2/3 scoreless innings. Meanwhile, Buehler has a 1.89 ERA in four postdrains earlier this year despite battling blisters.

Tampa seems to be waking up in Game 2. Brandon Lowe hit two opposite field home runs and Joe Wendley scored three runs after the team scored a total of two runs in the first 15 postseason games. The Dodgers brought the tying run to the plate several times, but could not get a big swing. The Rays need their offense to carry their breakout performance from Game 2 and the Dodgers need their hitter for what they are doing, they are actually doing. The at-bats have been good.

I felt the Dodgers were favorites in Game 1 and Rays was a favorite in Game 2. Game 3 feels like a toss-up to me. I would go on to win by one run to take a 2–1 series lead with the Dodgers. The molten hot Corey Seeger arrives with a critical hit once again.
