Dies with COVID-19 in Rowan Company, NC within four minutes of folding hands

ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) – Married spouses of 48 years died within four minutes of each other, holding hands, a week before COVID-19 at Salisbury Hospital. He was cremated on Wednesday.

“They were married for 48 years, 50 years together, they shook hands for those 50 years,” son Shane Peoples said.

A week ago, Shane Peoples says he was cheated. His mom and dad, 67-year-old Johnny Lee Peoples and 65-year-old Kathy Darlene Peoples, died of COVID-19. This marked the end of the thirty-day result of both parents contracting the virus, rapidly receding and then dying. It began with his mother, just a few days away from retirement.

“It was mainly fever and loss of taste,” Peeples said. “My father started showing symptoms two days later. About two weeks later both of them were put into the ICU. Everything went south, everything just went haywire. “

And when the end was visible, Shane says the hospital staff did what could be done to bring the couple together.

“The next day they put them in the same room, the same ICU room, they put their hands together, the nurses gathered and they passed each other within four minutes,” Peeples said.

Socially distracted, the funeral was performed on Wednesday morning.

Shane says that if there is one experience for everyone in his family, it is that people need to understand that in some cases, COVID-19 is a killer.

“It’s not a joke. It’s not a hoax,” people said. “I just don’t want to hurt anyone else. I don’t want anyone to feel the sorrow we are feeling. “

He read his Facebook post a lot:

“We were cheated. Mom and Dad’s lives were stolen by a virus that many joke on a daily basis or simply believe it to be some kind of deception. Both took this epidemic seriously. And still sick, still dead.…

I told myself when I started it, I wouldn’t do it angrily, but for the love they inspired me to give it.

So, let’s change course.

My parents were not just a blessing to me, my brother, my sister, our spouse and our children. He was a blessing to everyone who met him. My mother had the most beautiful soul of anyone you could meet. She was very generous with the love she had for everyone. If she doesn’t love you or loves you, then something was wrong with you.

I am not sure if my father ever met a stranger, he could interact with anyone and make them smile. He has coached youth sports for years and loves helping these children become better human beings.

They both loved their family very much and did anything and whatever they could possibly do for them. His love for the family was greatest when it came to his grandchildren, nine of them in total. They wanted the best for their grandchildren, they would go out of their way to make each of them feel special. I had some very beautiful awesome parents.

I miss them so much. I am not sure how I am going to deal with them at my ride home every night without being able to talk to work or being able to send their family photos and videos. I will never be able to hug them again. I never heard Mother wishing anyone a happy birthday, again. When he saw Liam and Ava coming into the room, I never smiled seeing them. They will not get to see their grandchildren grow up or many of their grandchildren graduate.

I know many people believe that they have the most loving, most caring, affectionate and devoted parents, but they are wrong. He is my parent. I wish I could fill his shoes.

Hold your family nearby. Treat them every moment as if this is your last time, this could very well happen. Love and keep loving

All I want is that everyone can see them with their eyes. You will see two of the most loving and caring couples ever. Without them, this world just became a little more depressed.

Sorry it was so long.

love U all.

Wear a mask

Wash your hands

Practice social distance.

Be kind to each other. “

Shane Peeples says the family kept on hoping, praying that his parents would be alright, never expecting that they wouldn’t make it, “… they died holding hands together and holding hands Hue went to heaven. “
