Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. Earnings Retreat 22% In Q3

(RTTNews.com) – Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. ( DO ) announced a profit for third quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $10.80 million, or $0.08 per share. This was down from $13.93 million, or $0.10 per share, in last year’s third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.20 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.8% to $366.02 million. This was up from $349.18 million last year.
