Capcom has registered a group of domain names from websites related to Devil May Cry before revealing a potential for a new game within the franchise.
First, the domain name DevilMayCry5.com (through ResetEra) was registered on May 17 under the domain registrar Onamae, if it goes through the Whois record of the site's domain. This is the same registrar that Capcom uses for its other titles known as MonsterHunterWorld.com and ResidentEvil7.com.
The publisher also registered domains for Devil May Cry 6 Devil May Cry 8, and Devil May Cry 9 but it is worth noting that the domain of the seventh game probably be registered by an illegal occupant who noticed that the other domains were purchased and registered.
It is worth noting that the Devil May Cry 5 web domain is hosted on a live server, which means that it is actually being updated and working in the background.
Could it be revealed imminent? We could find out at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year, which will take place from June 12 to 14. A great rumor of last November indicated that the game was in development, and that it would be directed by the veteran of the series Hideaki Itsuno.
We will keep you informed.
