Destiny 2: Beyond Light has a loot problem, and Bungie Fan is critical of criticism

Destiny 2’s new expansion, Beyond Lite, keeps up well with the recent update 3.0, and while many Destiny fans are enjoying the new content, there has been some criticism over how the expansion robs. As the pool of new loot in Destiny 2 seems to be very low, players receive several duplicates of weapons that were already in the game before the expansion.

As The Gamer notes, the controversy over the loot has spread to Reddit, where a post about the players’ problems has attracted backlash from the bungie community manager “dmg04”. With much material from previous iterations of Destiny 2 now locked in the “Content Vault”, players are enraged that more new armor and weapons have not been added.

“First and foremost, I want to say that these issues are not being put under the rug,” dmg04 says. “We are responding, and the team is reading your thoughts on various topics.”

Addressing loot issues, he says that “most of the new material” in the expansion focuses on Beyond Light and Hunt’s season passes, but some new items have also been added to ritual activities. “Europa has a full armor set and lacks weapons with new equipment that is not available through other means,” he says. “The raid will feature an armor set, various weapons, and mods to earn. Many of you are in search of exotics, with you coming into the fold as soon as you discover them.”

dmg04 says they are looking at how to make it “exciting” to earn new weapons, and plans are underway to add more loot in “future seasons”.

Getting more “light” and access to stronger items is one of the most rewarding parts of Destiny 2, but when the Beyond Light expansion was released, a way for some players to hit the existing soft cap in an hour Found.
