Daily number of COVID-19 vaccinations in Utah is above 20,000

According to the Department of Health, more than 20,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were re-administered in Utah on Friday – with five more coronovirus-related deaths reported.

Number of Utabans receiving two doses • Is 99,160.

Cases filed in previous days • Is 1,211.

Deaths in the past • 5.

Deaths reported on Friday • Three women died – one older than 85 in Salt Lake County; One is over 85 in Millard County, and one lot is between 45 and 64 in Gole County. Two men also died, both between 45 and 64 – one in Weber County and one in Uintah County.

Notice of hospitalization in the past 335. It is 14 less than Friday. Currently 123 of those hospitalized are in intensive care units – six more than on Friday.

Percentage of positive tests • 14.04%. This is slightly lower than the seven-day average of 16.2%.
