CVS Expands COVID Vaccination Sites to 51 CT Locations


CONNECTICUT – The launch of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine has seen a great expansion in the number of inoculation sites in Connecticut.

Those interested can register now, but unsurprisingly, appointments are filling up quickly.

CVS Pharmacy was already administering vaccines as part of the Federal Pharmacy Program, which means they receive doses directly from the federal government separately from Connecticut’s allocation, and it has now begun receiving shipments of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Programming began on Friday at these locations and vaccinations will begin on Saturday:

Residents currently eligible to receive the vaccine under the Connecticut program include everyone age 55 and older, as well as all healthcare personnel, first responders, residents, and long-term care facility personnel. residents and staff of select congregated settings and preK-12 school staff members and professional child care providers.
