From seeing red to scoring a goal, which roller coaster week was for Cristian Roldan.
The Seattle Sounders FC midfielder thought he would miss Saturday night's game against Minnesota United FC after a controversial layoff in Sunday's home draw against LAFC.
When that red card was rescinded by the Independent Panel after a successful appeal by the Sounders, Roldan had a new life and made the most of it.
Roldan screamed just before halftime, a thunderous volley from his second goal of the season.
After the game, he admitted that the conditions were perhaps right, according to The athletic Matt Pentz.
Cristian Roldan on his goal: "I closed my eyes and hit him as hard as I could … I do not usually shoot those … Today, I felt lucky".
