Crisis launches first game with ray tracing on PS4 Pro / Xbox One X

Crysis Remastered is coming on September 18 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and Crysis will, once again, push the limits. If you’re playing on PS4 Pro or Xbox One X, you’ll be able to play games with ray tracing enabled, this is the first game to feature ray tracing – a rendering technique commonly used for better lighting and reflections Is performed. – Current-gen hardware.

You can see it in the video below. It shows how ray tracing is used in the remaster on the console to produce high quality reflections. The footage does not show very real gameplay, but you do get to see the effect of the beam during a brief fire.

This is not enough with some of the results we are seeing on PCs (see this Cyberpunk 2077 footage with ray tracing, for example). But this is the first time this rendering technique has been used on hardware. Crysis Remastered will likely feature ray tracing on PCs; Here’s what the new version of the game looks like on PCs with maximum settings.

The game has already been launched on the Nintendo Switch; However, ray tracing is not available on Nintendo’s portable machine.

Ray tracing is a much more characteristic feature of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and many games will use it on next-gen systems. However the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions of Crysis Remastered have not been announced.
