Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

In the 80s a Humboldt County resident died in an out-of-county hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19. This is the eighth death of a county resident related to the virus.

Humboldt County Health Officer Drs. Teresa Frankovich expressed condolences to the family. “Our thoughts are with friends and family members who are feeling this loss,” she said.

Seven new cases of COVID-19 were reported today, with 508 county residents who tested positive for the virus.
