COVID-19: CVS Expands Vaccination Sites to These Long Island Locations


With Johnson & Johnson’s recently approved COVID-19 vaccine giving health officials an additional option to vaccinate those eligible, CVS announced that it will expand its vaccination program to nearly 150 more locations in New York, including many on Long Island. .

CVS Pharmacy, which has already been receiving doses of vaccines as part of the Federal Pharmacy Program, which are targeted at specific chains, announced this week that it will increase its vaccination schedule due to an increased allocation of the vaccine.

Those who are eligible and interested in getting vaccinated can now sign up for appointments, with scheduling beginning Friday, March 5, and vaccinations scheduled to begin the next day.

People eligible to get the vaccine at CVS must be New York residents over the age of 65. Teachers, daycare and preschool workers, and staff members are also within state eligibility.
