GREEN COUNTY, Wis. – At least seven Broadhead High School students have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to news from the Greene County Public Health Department, a group of students gathered over the weekend before school began. Last Friday, at least one high school student tested positive for the virus, completing the district’s contact tracing. The district then sent home about 25 students who were considered close contacts.
The release said that the district was able to identify several students who were present in the meeting and also sent them home.
Due to positive tests, the Brodhead School District has decided to make high school two weeks of full virtual learning from September 8 to 18.
Officials said that the high school will be cleaned on Tuesday and Wednesday and no students should be notified of the building.
The next steps will be discussed at their board meeting on Wednesday.
