HARRISBURG (KDKA) – Gov. Tom Wolf says that obeying coronovirus mitigation orders is now more important than ever as cases are increasing.
“Cases in the fall are something we hoped for and were ready for and we’ve learned a lot since spring, but as I’ve said many times, the virus goes where it wants, we get all that We can ward off this is closed and protect ourselves, our loved ones, our communities and our health care systems, ”Gov Wolf said in a statement.
“Current mitigation efforts and orders are more important than ever. We should unite against COVID and follow these orders. “
Not only are cases in Pennsylvania booming in number, but also the percentage of people who test positive. The statewide percentage positivity for the previous week is 9.6%, compared to 6.9% the week before. Sixty-two out of 67 counties have a positivity rate over 5%, including Alleghany County, which is 7.7%.
Current mitigation efforts in place in Pennsylvania include mandatory masks, restrictions on trade occupancy, “where possible” and television limits.
