The award ceremony will be held on February 9 in the central frame of the official ceremony of the National Day of the Colombian Journalist, with the presence of the highest dignitaries and journalists from the department of Huila.
Yes Wiston Morales Chávarro would have been born in a golden cradle, anyone would think that his effort to get to where he is was not that difficult, and that he still has a long way to go.
Who knows him does not need any more signs to know his importance, but who does not he has that taste, I tell you that it is the new Excellence Award 2018, the most important award given each year by the Circle of Journalists of Huila.
The award ceremony will be held on February 9 in the central framework of the official ceremony of the National Day of the Colombian Journalist, with the presence of the highest dignitaries and journalists of the department of Huila.
Wiston, just 49 years old, has published more than 14 books, including candles, essays, journalism and poetry; his texts have already been published in several languages in America and Europe.
He is the oldest of five brothers, children of Alfredo Morales Trujillo. His mother, Amaro Chávarro, was a teacher and teacher of the journalist, who today is featured in the newspaper El País of Spain.
Who would believe that that little boy student of high school in the Inem "Julián Motta Salas" of Neiva and who finished in the night baccalaureate Francisco de Paula Santander and wrote his first journalistic texts in the Diario del Huila under the permission of Fermín Segura and Delimiro Moreno, be the author of "Aniquirona", which was translated into Polish by the academic and translator Bárbara Stawicka-Pirecka, renowned Spanish translator of the 1980 Nobel Prize for Literature Czesław Miłosz.
Wiston Morales Chávarro, is a social communicator and journalist of the Surcolombiana University, in 1993 he joined the radio, being his first work experience in Huila Estéreo, directed by Edgar Artunduaga. Then he was in Caracol Neiva, Radio Súper Villavicencio, Radio Súper Neiva, Colosal Estéreo and Radio Cultural del Huila.
He was Head of International Relations and professor of the university that graduated him. Currently at the University of Cartagena is a teacher of plant.

And as if the Cervantes Institute Observatory at Harvard University and the Colombian Consulate General in Boston paid a tribute to "four authors with a powerful and reflective literary voice", among whom was Winston Morales, a Huila who is giving him a name and good credit to the men and women of his little country.
Like "Aniquirona", his works have been translated partially and totally into the fra French, German, Polish, English and Italian and including anthologies in Colombia and abroad.
