Tonight, the Yankees will welcome Gary Sanchez off the List of Injured, but they are about to lose another key player. Clint Frazier, who injured his ankle in Monday's game, was sent for an MRI.

After the game, Frazer was optimistic that he would not keep him out of the lineup. "I think I could go out and play," said Frazier. "I went through too much last year to not stay out in that field, a lot of things should go wrong so that I do not play, it's sore, it's a little sprain, but it's one of those things that, as I said, I went too far last year not to go out and play, the IL is too full for us, so I'm fine, I'm going to keep playing. "
Obviously, as fans we loved the appointment of Clint, but here we are two days later and still can not play. With the next National League games in San Francisco and Arizona, the Yankees can not afford to carry deadweight in the bank. They should send Frazier to the retroactive IL to Monday and call someone to take his place if the results of the MRI are bad.
This stinks on many levels. On the one hand, Frazier had been red-hot and finally had the opportunity he had been waiting for. He has 22 of 68 in the season with nine extra base hits and 17 RBIs.
The Replacement Yankees are in a good race, but I'm not sure how many more haymakers can deal with this team.
