Chris Pratt will take over Jimmy Kimmel's nightly host duties three days after filing for divorce from Anna Faris.
The actor Jurbadic World: Fallen Kingdom 38, did not mention their separation during Monday's monologue, but expressed nervousness about being Kimmel's replacement.
Pratt intervened for the host of the 2018 Oscars since Billy, Kimmel's 7-month-old son, is recovering from his second heart surgery.
"You know, in fact, I was kind of nervous about doing this tonight, because … you know, I've never done anything like this," Pratt told the audience.
In addition, the father of one had fun with the musical guest of the night, country star Chris Stapleton while performing "Time of My Life", the subject song of 1987 Dirty Dancing .

The couple sang the lyrics of the popular duo Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes before trying to recreate the scene in which Baby runs to Johnny and executes the lifting movement.
Pratt took over the role of Patrick Swayze while Stapleton, who is expecting twins with his wife Morgane, put on the dance shoes of Jennifer Gray.

People confirmed on Friday that the star Guardians of the Galaxy filed legal documents to end their 8-year marriage to Faris, citing irreconcilability differences of the label The star requested the joint custody of his son Jack, 5 years old, according to the statement obtained by PEOPLE.
The date of separation appears on the list of July 13, one month before they announced publicly that they had been divided.  "Anna and I are sad to announce that we are legally separating, we are dealing hard for a long time, and we are really disappointed," the couple said in a joint statement issued by Pratt on August 6.
The couple met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007 and got engaged a year later before getting married in the summer of 2009. The mom actress is dating with director of photography Michael Barrett, 47.
Jurbadic World: Fallen Kingdom arrives at theaters June 22.
