Chris Kamara warned people not to be alarmed while putting a helmet on an apparent nod to a police e-fit image that resembled him.
The Cleethorpes Community Policing Team posted on Facebook an image of a suspect they were chasing, and they found a lot of responses suggesting that it resembled Sky Sports host Kamara.
Please, do not be alarmed if you see me outside this afternoon. I am working. pic.twitter.com/0OdEs8QQxA

And the former Leeds United player seems to have seen the image while tweeting an image of himself wearing construction workers' garb with the title: "Please, do not be alarmed if you see me out this afternoon, I'm working."
The original image of the police drew attention after it was published online by officers seeking a man suspected of trying to force his way into a house on Trinity Road in Cleethorpes on June 13.
One Facebook user, Nick Donnelly, wrote "Amazing Jeff" in a reference to his Saturday Football phrase, while another, Ben Horrocks, commented: "Call Chris Kamara, he could help."
Other Facebook users suggested that the image looked like Lionel Richie and the Village People construction worker.
