Chelsea Handler evacuates her house amid a fire threat

"I just evacuated my home, it's as if Donald Trump was literally and figuratively setting fire to the world," Handler wrote Wednesday morning. "Keep everyone safe, dark times."

A Handler representative did not immediately respond to CNN's request for further comments.

There are several active fires in and around Los Angeles County.

On Wednesday morning, a fire known as Skirball Fire broke out along I-405, one of the busiest in the country, prompting a mandatory evacuation order for part of the affluent neighborhood of Bel Air .

The Skirball Fire also led to the closure of that great highway. Since then it has been reopened in both directions.

The biggest fire that is currently being fought is the Thomas Fire Fire, in Ventura County, which claimed 65,000 acres and destroyed at least 150 buildings, officials said.

"Westworld" resumed production on Wednesday, but continues to monitor the situation, according to HBO.

Handler's evacuation took place the same day she was scheduled to shoot the last episode of her "Chelsea" talk show.

The recording continued as planned, according to a Handler publication on Instagram.

Actress and singer Lea Michele was among the evacuees as well.

The "Glee" star told The Hollywood Reporter that he left home on Wednesday morning.

"I had two minutes to think about what it would take and I grabbed my cat and that's it," he said .

Socialite Paris Hilton also tweeted on Wednesday that her house was being evacuated and her pets moved to a safe place.

"Thanks to all the firefighters who risk their lives to save ours," he wrote on Twitter.
