CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An air site visitors controller at Charlotte Douglas International Airport obtained a home made pipe bomb from his roommate, police stated.
The two Charlotte residents had been charged with manufacturing and possessing a weapon of mbad destruction.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers responded to 315 Minitree Lane close to Mount Holly Road after somebody referred to as 911 about somebody who was in possession of a home made explosive gadget.
Members of the CMPD Bomb Squad additionally responded and confirmed that it was a home made pipe bomb.
Derrick Fells, 30, constructed the gadget and admitted that he had made the bomb with the intention to use it in opposition to a neighbor throughout their ongoing dispute.
