CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A person died on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids from a gunshot wound, police officials said Sunday.
At around 3:54 am, the Cedar Rapids police were dispatched to a shooting report in the 100 block of Curtis Street SW. Officers located a victim with what they said was a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not provide any other information until Sunday morning, but an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
