Things took a turn after Randolph’s appearance in July The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever! During the episode, she was reluctant to address their split and later called out for the show to explain how the interview was “edited” to focus on her quotes about Underwood.

Underwood noted on his Instagram story that while the two agreed to keep their split private, “apparently a lot has changed this week.” Randolph fired back at his ex with a long note on his Instagram Story, insisting that he “honored” his agreement and accused him of “subtly entangling Chili in offensive comments”.

She also claimed that Underwood was trying to “demonetize” her breakup with a new chapter in her book, to which she refused to give him “any kind of approval”. A representative for Underwood denied Randolph’s claims.

Last month, Underwood opened up about the debacle Reality steve The podcast, stating that his anger was actually directed at the franchise in order to “take advantage” of Randolph. (Representative for ABC and Harrison did not comment.)

“Cass was extremely professional and extremely calm about our breakup,” he said. “What I was guilty of was that the show took advantage of her. I get very protective of the people I love and I know that Cass is a big girl and she can fight her own battles, but I just know her heart and she doesn’t want to shake the boat and she loves people, even if they misuse her or even if they take advantage of what they did. “
