The Country Music Awards is about recognizing contributions to the Academy genre.
To do just that, entertainer of the year nominee Carrie Underwood took to the stage to perform a medley of songs from some of the country’s most iconic women in music.
The 37-year-old musician covered Dolly Parton’s “Why You Come in Here Lookin ‘”, for example, Patty Cline’s “Crazy,” Reba McIntire’s “The Night the Lights Out in Georgia,” Loretta Lynn’s “You Ant” No. Women Enough, “Barbara Mandrell’s” I Was Country When Country Was Country Cool Not “and Martina McBride’s” A Broken Wing “.

The “American Idol” alum performed one of three spots at the Grand Ole Opry House, which is being broadcast from this year’s virtual show. Other performances are taking place at the Bluebird Cafe and Raman Auditorium.
For her tribute, Underwood donated a red calf-length dress with a floral design.

The performance was performed online by fans.
