Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim fight results: Alvarez overwhelms enemy by easy TKO to retain titles

Canelo Álvarez is still one of the baddest men on the planet. The unified super middleweight champion made it look easy in his final title defense Saturday night from Miami when he forced his opponent, WBC mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim, to step down on his bench after the third round.

Alvarez (55-1-2) dropped Yilidirim in the first three rounds without much return fire in his way. Yildirim’s corner implored him to do something or they would stop the fight, but after further consultation, Yildirim did not get up from his stool for the fourth round and the fight was stopped.
