Amanda Bynes is finally opening up on her downward spiral of fame, starting with a shocking confession about the abuse of hard drugs such as ecstasy and cocaine, RadarOnline.com reports.
Bynes, 32, spoke about his crazy past of drug abuse in an unrestricted interview with Paper Magazine. The troubled actress revealed that she started smoking marijuana at the age of 16.
Even though everyone thought I was the "good girl", I smoked marijuana from that moment, "Bynes told the magazine." I did not become addicted [then] and I was not abusing it. And I was not going to party or make a fool of myself … yet. "
The former Nickoledon star said her drugs of choice then became "molly and ecstasy," and made it clear which substances preferred the others.
"[I tried] Cocaine three times but I never got drugged by cocaine. I have never liked it. It was never my drug of choice, "he continued.
Bynes, whose trusteeship extended for two more years, said Adderall also grew an extreme addiction.
"I definitely abused Adderall," the star told the magazine, calling it "the new thin pill" at that time.
"When I was doing Hall Pbad, I remember being in the trailer and I used to chew the Adderall tablets because I thought they made me [more] high [that way], "Bynes admitted," I remember chewing a lot of them and literally being clueless and not being able to concentrate on my lines or memorize them for that matter. "
The substance abuse of Bynes reached the point where she "literally shot" while looking at the camera, confessed the former actress.
"I remember I hurried and I thought: Oh, my God, I look so bad," he reminded Paper.
As readers of Radar know, Bynes is under the legal control of his mother until at least 2020.
In 2013, the former actress was admitted to a rehabilitation center in Malibu, California, where she had been treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
The star of She's The Man was diagnosed with the conditions after causing a fire at the entrance of a neighbor in Thousand Oaks, California.
In the revealing interview, Bynes said he plans to return to the acting industry. He is currently a student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
Despite her bachelor's degree in art, Bynes insisted that she wants to act "first" again.
