The time has come to order a hamburger with only lettuce, tomato and maybe mayonnaise, ketchup or mustard. [19659009] Burgers throughout Naples have germinated in the last decade, with what we call "designer burgers" that offer exotic offerings. Do you want a pesto burger, or one with sliced avocado and fried egg

Brooks Burgers

It may not sound appetizing, but try the Pesto burger and goat cheese ($ 10.99), at Brooks Gourmet Burgers and Dogs in Naples. It is one of the best selling hamburgers in the restaurant and for good reasons.

Pesto especially highlights the taste of hamburger and goat cheese, a kind of taste explosion in a good way when you take your first bite.

(And just thinking out loud, but how many combinations did Brooks Burgers do? "Chefs try before you pair the pesto with the goat cheese? Well, we're glad you did and you will be too.) [19659009] – Dave Osborn

BurgerFi's Double Burger Burger. (Photo: Shelby Reynolds / Naples Daily News )

BurgerFi does many things right, including the basics.

A burger with double bacon keeps it simple: two bold, meaty burgers that crumble in the best way, melted cheddar cheese and slices of salty and thick bacon. Sure, you can add other toppings from the BurgerFi menu, for example, roasted onions or onion rings or jalapeños.

But who needs all those unnecessary things when they're just bacon and cheese will serve?

Five Guys Little Hamburger

Enjoy your design hamburger.

For me, Little Hamburger ($ 4.99) is my hamburger in paradise. And as Jimmy Buffett sings, I also like mine with lettuce and tomato and Heinz 57. The bigger version is too much, and the junior option really is a lot of hamburger (especially if you order one side of the tasty FG Idaho chips) .

And the smaller version is not messy, easy to eat without the hamburger sliding on my foil and the mayonnaise and ketchup in my pants.

It's worth every damned sacrifice.

LowBrow Pizza & Beer

You can find this strong burger on the menu of the Porker BBQ food truck and at LowBrow Pizza & Beer in East Naples.

But it does not really matter where you get it, it's just important that you eat the [whole thing

In both places you'll get it smothered in a piece of smoked pepper cheese and topped with cabbage and roast beef slow. It's tender, soft and crunchy, fresh, with lettuce and onion splinters, too. And it's a shame if one bite of that hamburger is lost. It is a pity.

Artisan Eatery

A juicy hamburger with lots of meat is a staple in any American barbecue. And although I love my red meat, I also love it when the culinary world takes a new twist on a clbadic.

Yes, we have seen tofu burgers, vegetables and black beans, which are not meat or diet eaters. But none of those options knows the real thing. Because, well, neither is.

Until now. Have you heard about the impossible hamburger?

Many restaurants in Southwest Florida began serving the dish, but my favorite is at Artisan Eatery in South Fort Myers. It's a hike to I-75, but it's worth it. I say it again, I love my meat, but when I took a bite of this hamburger, it perplexed me. In fact, it tasted like beef burger. I loved.

What is it made of?

A 100% sustainable substitute for herbal meat, which comes with all fixings: lettuce, onion, tomato and a secret sauce wedged in a brioche-style vegan. bun ($ 13). I had this meat eater saying, "mmm."

If you want your meat, the locally owned restaurant also has its artisbad burger ($ 14), which includes American wagyu beef, tomato compote, apple bacon, arugula, caramelized onions and gruyere cheese in a brioche bun .

And if you want sides, you have to order them separately. There is nothing like Parmesan truffles or sweet potato fries to complement something old and something new. Address: 8951 Daniels Pkwy., Fort Myers.

Dorona

Choosing a favorite hamburger in Naples is not an easy task because many restaurants in the area have a good one.

A tasty one. To add to the local burger lists, however, is in Dorona, a newcomer best known for its steaks and seafood. Located in the heart of Naples on US 41 and Golden Gate Parkway, the Italian steakhouse Dorona offers a special lunch that chef Jason Goddard calls BLT, a veal burger with lettuce, tomato, Nueske bacon and aged white cheddar cheese from Grafton Village in a brioche bread.

The smoky and juicy character of the hamburger, together with the fresh ingredients, make it stand out. This burger is one of the four specialties of "Lunch at the Bar" that includes a glbad of wine for $ 12.95 every day from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
