Brazilian Bolsonaro attacked COVID-19 vaccine
According to local media reports, Jair Bolsonaro said he would not need the COVID-19 vaccine because he had already tested positive for coronovirus, which caused his body to develop antibodies to the virus. The country’s president’s statement came after the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was tested in Brazil. Meanwhile, Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is already being used in the United States and Britain.

Launching the vaccination campaign in Brazil on Wednesday, Bolsonaro said that although the coronavirus is virus free, vaccinations are not mandatory for everyone. On Thursday, the Brazilian Supreme Court ruled in a ruling that the vaccine was mandatory, but could not be “forced” on people. According to this latest ruling, the country’s government can fine people for not vaccinating them and even ban them from certain public places, but not force them to take them.
