Bradley Chubb said he hoped his family at home would "go crazy" after the Broncos made him the fifth global pick. The North Carolina state pass broker had not seen Von Miller's reaction when he said that.
No one went crazy over Chubb's selection of the Broncos that Miller, who posted a video on social networks of him running and jumping, screaming with joy as he watched the draft in Las Vegas. The Broncos went to quarterbacks Josh Allen and Josh Rosen to pair Chubb with Miller, and Chubb can not wait to learn from Miller.
"I feel like he's one of the best," Chubb said. "Being a novice getting there, I feel it would be good to go in there and start something on your own, but for me, go in there and see what he does and see his routine, see how he operates and see what made him so good, I feel that It's going to help me and take my game to a completely different level than what I'm just going to do in a situation the boy had at the moment, I'm glad he has this experience and I'm going to make the most of it. "
Many, perhaps even Chubb, thought the Browns would use the fourth option in Chubb. Instead, Cleveland chose Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward. That left Chubb for the Broncos.
"I was not too surprised, just because I know that in the draft everything can happen," Chubb said of the Browns who took Ward. "My agent told me right before we left," Do not be surprised at all. "So I was not surprised when that happened, it would have been a great opportunity there too, but I'm glad I stayed, and I'll learn of the best now. "
