Blonde Billie Eilish teases sexy new project, fans freak out


It is the end of an era.

Billie Eilish may have broken an Instagram record by debuting in a completely different look on Wednesday, showing off an explosive blonde hairstyle that she instantly earned on social media.

The look, complete with a fitted sweater, appears to be part of a new project. A video posted on the Instagram of the “bad boy” singer shows the film crew in the background with the caption “Did you guess correctly?”

Fans speculated that he might have been referring to his new hair color, which he teased about earlier after the release of his documentary “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry.” Early pictures from her youth show that the 19-year-old’s natural hair color is actually blonde.

In December, the Grammy winner said she planned to change her signature green and black hairstyle to signal the “end of the age.”

“I’m going to give you a new era,” he continued. “I have announcements to do, I have some things to post.”

And his loyal fans certainly dug it. A fan account tweeted that Eilish’s hairstyle post may have broken an Instagram record.

Eilish has generally avoided conforming to beauty standards. She said part of the reason she often opts for baggy clothing is to protect her from body embarrassments.

In October, she was photographed wearing a tank top and shorts instead of her usual outfit, and she recalled the series of hurtful comments that followed.

“I think people around me were more concerned about it than I was, because the reason he used to cut me was because of my body,” the “Ocean Eyes” singer told Vanity Fair about the photo of the tank top. “To be quite honest with you, I just started wearing baggy clothes over my body.”
